This market will resolve once the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source, or by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, whichever comes first. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Fahrenheit (eg, 21°F). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.Current National Weather Service and ensemble forecasts for Austin on September 7 point to overnight lows in the mid-70s, driven by persistent southerly flow, high dew points near 70°F, and limited nocturnal radiative cooling under partly cloudy skies. This setup favors readings around 76–78°F at official stations like Austin-Bergstrom, well above the 1991–2020 climatological average low of 70°F for the date. Trader sentiment remains split because short-range models can shift with small changes in boundary-layer moisture or wind, while the market’s near-even odds on sub-68°F or 86°F+ outcomes reflect uncertainty over exact measurement timing and station-specific resolution. Updated NWS guidance and next model runs will likely tighten the distribution ahead of the overnight period.
