Persistent southerly flow and a strong surface high-pressure ridge are sustaining elevated overnight minimums near 80°F across north Texas, with National Weather Service and model guidance converging on lows of 79–83°F for Dallas on September 13 under mostly clear skies and dew points in the upper 60s. This warm-air advection and limited radiational cooling explain the market’s emphasis on the 80–81°F bin alongside elevated odds for 90°F+, while lower bins reflect residual uncertainty in boundary-layer mixing or minor cloud increases that could shave a degree or two. Historical September climatology places average lows near 71°F, underscoring how the current anomalous heat has shifted trader focus toward the upper end of the distribution ahead of the next model update cycle.
