Recent National Weather Service and model guidance point to a low near 80°F for Houston on September 1, with partly cloudy skies, a 50% storm chance, and south-southeast winds limiting radiational cooling. This aligns with climatological norms of 75°F average lows but sits amid persistent upper-90s heat and high humidity that can trap warmth overnight. Trader balance between sub-72°F (49%) and 90°F+ (48%) outcomes reflects forecast uncertainty in storm timing and any unexpected clearing that could drop temperatures several degrees below guidance. Mid-range bins around 78–81°F trade near 26%, consistent with ensemble consensus while acknowledging model spread and sea-breeze influences before final observations resolve the market.
