Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.Recent National Weather Service and AccuWeather model guidance points to a persistent warm, humid air mass over the Northeast, limiting overnight radiative cooling and supporting minimum temperatures in the mid-70s Fahrenheit for New York City on August 11. Elevated dew points near 70°F, light winds, and possible partial cloud cover reduce the diurnal temperature range, keeping the low well above the 1991–2020 August average of about 68°F. Trader consensus around the 74–77°F bins reflects tight clustering in ensemble forecasts, with small differences in boundary-layer moisture and urban heat-island effects determining whether the minimum settles near 74°F or edges into the upper 70s. Updated model runs and local observations tonight will refine these thresholds ahead of market resolution.
