Dalton Eatherly, known online as Chud the Builder, faces attempted murder and related felony charges stemming from a May 2026 shooting outside a Clarksville, Tennessee courthouse during an altercation with another man. He has claimed self-defense while the matter sits in early pretrial stages after being bound over to a grand jury. No trial date has been set, and standard Tennessee felony timelines involve lengthy discovery, motions, and potential plea negotiations. Separate misdemeanor cases tied to prior incidents have seen bond revocations but no resolution on the core shooting charges. This procedural posture and the contested facts around the incident underpin the strong trader consensus against conviction.
