Recent National Weather Service and private forecast models indicate a continuation of hot, mostly sunny conditions over North Texas driven by southerly flow and weak high pressure, supporting a daily high near 99°F in Dallas on September 20. This aligns with observed highs of 99–100°F on the preceding days and places the 98–99°F bin at the center of trader consensus. A modest 20% chance of afternoon showers or thunderstorms could introduce minor cooling through increased cloud cover or evaporative effects, while any delay in storm development or stronger insolation would favor readings reaching 100–101°F. Historical climatology shows September 20 averages around 89°F, underscoring the current anomalous warmth, with updated model runs expected to refine the exact peak as the date approaches.
