Recent National Weather Service and local forecasts indicate Denver's overnight low on September 20 will likely settle in the upper 40s to low 50s amid scattered thunderstorms and a cooling trend, with highs near 70–73°F giving way to clearer skies and lighter winds after sunset. Radiative cooling under variable cloud cover, combined with modest moisture from afternoon convection, creates the narrow spread traders favor between the 48–55°F buckets. This aligns closely with the 30-year climatological average low of 47.6°F for the date, while model consensus shows limited downside risk below 48°F absent stronger northerly flow or clearing. Updated NWS guidance and next model runs will refine the exact minimum before resolution.
