**National Weather Service forecasts and model consensus point to a high temperature in the mid-70s for Los Angeles on September 18, supporting the market's heavy weighting toward the 76-77°F bin at 59.5% implied probability.** Morning low clouds and fog associated with the marine layer are expected to clear under moderate southwest onshore flow, yielding mostly sunny afternoon conditions with highs ranging from the mid-70s to around 80°F depending on exact location and boundary-layer mixing. This aligns with late-September climatology near 76°F at downtown and coastal stations, absent any strong offshore winds or anomalous warming. Recent model runs show limited spread, with no major shifts in the 48-hour window that would favor the lower-probability 78-79°F or sub-74°F outcomes. Traders appear to price in this stable pattern while acknowledging typical forecast uncertainty in marine-influenced coastal zones.
