Trader consensus around 33°C for Singapore’s September 17 high reflects current forecast guidance and climatological norms, with multiple models projecting afternoon maxima near 31–33 °C under partly cloudy skies and scattered thundery showers typical of the southwest monsoon. Official outlooks note that September daily maxima most often fall between 33–34 °C, consistent with the market’s near-certain outcome. High humidity and afternoon convection limit extreme heating, while recent observations show peaks rarely exceeding this range without prolonged clear conditions. A realistic challenge would require stronger-than-expected insolation or a shift in steering patterns that suppresses showers, potentially pushing readings toward 34–35 °C before official verification.
