Persistent hot and humid conditions across North Texas, driven by a strong high-pressure ridge and southerly flow, currently anchor the market's near-even split between a sub-72°F low (50% implied) and an extreme 90°F+ minimum (49%). Official National Weather Service guidance and ensemble models project an overnight low in the upper 70s for September 16 under mostly clear skies, consistent with the ongoing late-summer heat wave where daily lows have held near 80°F. Key variables that could shift outcomes include any unexpected increase in low-level moisture or a subtle frontal passage altering radiative cooling rates, though consensus remains stable with minimal model spread at this short range. Historical September minima average near 70°F, underscoring how anomalous the current pattern remains.
