Recent short-range forecasts from the Met Office and other models indicate Madrid’s minimum temperature on September 8 will likely reach 19°C overnight, following daytime highs near 35°C under clear to partly cloudy conditions. This aligns with a developing cooling trend after an unusually warm early September, when lows remained in the low-to-mid 20s amid persistent high pressure. Historical climatology places the September 8 average low near 16.7°C, so current guidance sits slightly above normal yet well below recent values. Model consensus supports a minimum in the 18–21°C range, driving the elevated market-implied probability for 21°C or below while limiting odds for extremes above 30°C. Updated runs and any shifts in steering flow ahead of the date will refine these estimates.
