Forecast models from the National Weather Service and private sources converge on a daily minimum temperature in New York City of 70–72°F for September 18, 2026, reflecting the market’s heavy weighting toward the 70–73°F range. Overnight observations showed temperatures holding in the low 70s under partly cloudy skies with light northerly winds that limited radiational cooling. A warm air mass and dew points near 60°F have kept the boundary layer mild, consistent with recent days when Central Park lows stayed above seasonal normals. Limited cloud cover and breezy conditions through dawn are expected to prevent deeper drops, while any model spread centers on the exact timing of clearing rather than a major shift in the air mass. Updated National Weather Service guidance and real-time station readings will refine the final recorded minimum before market resolution.
