Incumbent Republican Rich McCormick faces Democrat Tony Kozycki in Georgia’s 7th congressional district general election on November 3, 2026. McCormick secured 64.9 percent in the prior cycle in this suburban and rural district north of Atlanta, establishing a durable Republican advantage that traders view as likely to produce a clear majority. With both parties having settled their nominees after the Democratic primary runoff, the market’s 98.5 percent implied probability for an outright winner reflects the low likelihood that vote fragmentation or a dramatic swing will force a runoff under Georgia’s majority requirement. Late developments such as national polling shifts, turnout surprises, or unforeseen campaign events remain the primary variables that could narrow margins enough to trigger a second round.
