Recent National Weather Service and model consensus forecasts point to a high near 99°F in Austin on September 9 under persistent upper-level ridging and southeasterly flow that maintains above-normal warmth and humidity. This setup supports the market's strong preference for the 98–99°F bin, with 96–97°F and 100–101°F as secondary possibilities reflecting minor model spread in maximum temperatures. Historical September averages near 92°F underscore how the current pattern has sustained elevated readings, while low precipitation chances and limited cloud cover limit cooling. Traders appear to weigh the latest guidance showing only modest day-to-day variability ahead of the official observation that will determine resolution.
