**Latest National Weather Service and model guidance point to a San Francisco high temperature on September 16 in the mid-to-upper 60s°F, with the 66–69°F range capturing the bulk of trader probability.** Persistent marine-layer influence and moderate-to-strong onshore southwest winds are suppressing daytime heating, keeping readings below the long-term September 16 average of 70.8°F. Coastal upwelling maintains cool ocean surface temperatures that fuel sea-breeze circulation, while partial cloud cover further limits solar warming. Minor model differences in the timing and depth of the marine layer or wind speed explain the tight split between the 66–67°F and 68–69°F bins. Historical analogs from recent Septembers show similar setups rarely produce outliers above 72°F or below 64°F, reinforcing the narrow distribution traders have priced.
