This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the lowest temperature recorded by NOAA at the Esenboğa Intl Airport Station in degrees Celsius on 2 Sep '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the lowest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=ltac If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source. In the event which there is no data for the observation date by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C. This market can not resolve until the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.**Trader sentiment for the lowest temperature in Ankara on September 2, 2026, clusters tightly around 13–19°C (each near 50% implied probability), while outcomes of 20°C or higher sit at single-digit odds.** This reflects broad agreement among short-range weather models that the overnight minimum will fall in the mid-teens Celsius under clear, calm conditions, with remaining uncertainty centered on the precise value. Current forecasts from sources such as Yr.no, WeatherBug, and Turkish meteorological outlooks indicate a minimum near 16–17°C on September 2. High pressure dominates, producing mostly clear skies, light northeasterly winds (2–5 m/s), and dry air that favors strong nighttime radiative cooling. Daytime highs are expected near 30–31°C, but rapid cooling after sunset under these stable conditions typically drives the daily low into the mid-teens. The narrow spread of probabilities around 13–19°C captures model-to-model and timing differences in exactly when and how low the temperature bottoms out before dawn. Minor variations in cloud cover, dew-point depression, or localized wind patterns can shift the minimum by 1–2°C. Historical early-September baselines for Ankara (average lows near 14–16°C) align with this range, and the absence of fronts or significant moisture advection supports the current consensus. Updated model runs and official briefings in the next 24–48 hours will likely narrow the distribution further.
