Forecast consensus from National Weather Service guidance and ensemble models centers trader attention on an overnight low in the upper 60s to low 70s for New York City on September 9, producing closely matched market-implied odds near 31% for 70-71°F and 30% for 68-69°F. Southerly to southwesterly flow advects mild, humid air from the Atlantic and mid-Atlantic region, limiting radiational cooling under partly to mostly cloudy skies and keeping dew points elevated in the mid-60s. Recent Central Park observations show similar patterns with minima in the mid-to-upper 60s amid weak pressure gradients, while model spreads arise mainly from timing of any weak frontal passage or cloud trends. Resolution will hinge on the official minimum recorded at the Central Park station, with final verification expected shortly after midnight on September 10.
