Incumbent Democrat Letitia James holds a strong position in the 2026 New York Attorney General race, scheduled for November 3, as traders price her at the highest probability among listed outcomes. Both major-party primaries were uncontested, allowing James and Republican challenger Saritha Komatireddy to advance directly to the general election. A late-August Siena poll showed James leading 54-36 among likely voters, reflecting her established name recognition and the state's consistent Democratic lean in statewide contests. Komatireddy's lower visibility and the absence of major recent developments that would alter the race fundamentals support the current market consensus around these candidates.
