The stock pulled back more than 4% on August 30 after Demis Hassabis shifted to a chairman role and several senior AI researchers departed, though Google Cloud revenue accelerated 82% year-over-year in Q2 to $24.8 billion with a $514 billion backlog. Strong operating margins near 34% and ongoing Gemini AI deployments provided support, while the absence of structural breakup risk removed a key overhang. Traders are monitoring upcoming product launches and broader tech sector flows for resolution cues.
