Persistent high pressure and southerly flow across North Texas are sustaining above-normal temperatures into mid-September, with official National Weather Service forecasts indicating Dallas highs near 99–100°F on September 11 under mostly sunny skies and heat indices exceeding 105°F. Recent model runs show limited variability from light winds and minimal cloud cover, though minor differences in afternoon mixing or weak easterly influences could shift the peak by 1–2°F. This aligns with the market’s tight clustering around 94–99°F bins, reflecting trader assessment of ensemble guidance and the region’s ongoing heat wave that has already produced multiple 100°F+ days this month. Updated NWS briefings and 48-hour model runs remain the key near-term catalysts.
