Recent National Weather Service and model guidance for Houston on September 8 points to a hot, mostly sunny day with highs centered in the mid-90s, driving the tight clustering of market-implied odds around 92–95°F. Persistent high pressure, southerly flow, and elevated dew points support strong surface heating, while a modest sea-breeze circulation and isolated afternoon showers introduce modest uncertainty in the exact peak reading. Historical September averages near 91°F provide context, but current conditions favor values several degrees above normal. Updated NWS forecasts and afternoon model runs over the next 48 hours remain the key catalysts that could shift probabilities between the leading bins.
