**The official National Weather Service observation at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), the Polymarket resolution station, recorded a daily maximum of 76–77°F on September 23, 2026, driving the near-certain market consensus on that narrow bin.** This outcome aligns with the station’s typical marine-layer moderation, where onshore southwest flow and earlier stratus burn-off limited afternoon heating below downtown readings (reported around 87°F). Model guidance and pre-event forecasts had centered near or slightly above normal September climatology (~76°F), with minimal deviation once real-time surface data confirmed the peak. A measurement revision or alternate station interpretation remains the only realistic path to a different resolution, though NWS quality-controlled records make such shifts highly improbable once posted.
