National Weather Service forecasts and model consensus indicate a high near 66-68°F for San Francisco on August 30, driven by persistent upper-level troughing off the Pacific Northwest that has deepened the marine layer and produced a cooling trend several degrees below seasonal averages. West to southwest winds of 10-20 mph and morning stratus are expected to limit daytime heating, consistent with recent observations of highs in the mid-60s amid post-tropical moisture clearance. Trader sentiment clusters around 66-69°F outcomes because these align with current guidance, though modest uncertainty remains from potential marine layer fluctuations or brief clearing that could allow readings near 70°F or hold temperatures lower. Historical August 30 averages near 70°F underscore the anomalous cool pattern.
