Recent forecasts from multiple models indicate Shanghai's overnight low on September 23 will likely settle near 23–24°C, supporting the close market-implied odds between those two outcomes. Persistent easterly flow off the East China Sea, combined with high humidity near 70–90% and mostly cloudy skies, limits radiational cooling typical of clear autumn nights. Daytime highs near 29°C and light winds further moderate the diurnal range, keeping the minimum above historical late-September averages in some runs. No strong cold fronts or typhoon influences are expected in the 48-hour window, though minor model differences in cloud cover and wind speed could shift the final low by 1°C. Updated guidance from the Shanghai Meteorological Bureau and ECMWF runs ahead of resolution will be key for traders.
