Current forecasts from Environment Canada and other models indicate a minimum temperature near 10°C for Toronto on September 23, driven by northeasterly flow under building high pressure that favors clear to partly cloudy skies and moderate radiational cooling. Lake Ontario's thermal moderation and the late-September seasonal baseline (historical average low around 12°C) limit extremes, while dry air and light winds reduce the potential for sharp drops below 5°C or retention of warmth above 15°C. Trader consensus on the closely matched 5°C-or-below and 15°C-or-higher outcomes at 49% each reflects lingering model spread in the 48-hour window, with resolution hinging on the precise overnight minimum and any last-minute shifts in cloud cover or wind. Updated runs from official agencies will clarify the outcome ahead of market close.
