Recent National Weather Service and model guidance point to a persistent warm, humid air mass over southeast Texas, supporting mid-90s highs for Houston on September 16 with southeast winds of 5–10 mph and heat indices above 105°F. This aligns with the market's leading 92–95°F bins, reflecting typical late-summer conditions where average highs reach 89°F but recent days have already hit 94–96°F. Model consensus remains tight on the upper end due to limited cloud cover and no strong frontal passage, though scattered afternoon convection or slight steering shifts could trim the peak. Traders weigh the narrow spread between 92–93°F and 94–95°F against historical variability and the next official forecast updates.
