**Forecast consensus from National Weather Service and other models points to a high near 72–74°F in San Francisco on August 27, driven by partly cloudy skies allowing moderate solar heating while persistent west-southwest onshore flow and the marine layer keep temperatures from rising further.** This typical late-summer pattern, with the Pacific high positioned to the north, favors sea-breeze cooling that often limits coastal maxima to the low-to-mid 70s even when inland valleys reach the 90s. Recent model runs show limited high-cloud influence from distant tropical moisture but no strong warming signal, producing tight probabilities across the 70–77°F bins as traders weigh small differences in cloud timing, wind speed, and exact marine-layer depth. Historical August averages near 70°F provide context, with upside limited unless onshore winds weaken more than expected.
