Official temperature observations from San Francisco on September 18 confirmed a daily maximum in the 68-69°F range, driving the near-certain market outcome. National Weather Service stations recorded peak readings consistent with this bin amid typical late-summer marine layer influence and onshore flow that suppressed warming. With the observation window closed, trader consensus reflects verified data rather than forecasts, leaving minimal room for alternative bins. Revisions to official records or measurement disputes remain the only realistic scenarios that could alter resolution, though historical precedent shows such adjustments are rare for daily highs.
