Recent forecast models, including GFS runs, point to clear skies and moderate southeasterly winds supporting radiative cooling overnight, with expected minimum temperatures of 14–16°C for Cape Town on September 20. This positions 13°C and 12°C as the leading market-implied outcomes, reflecting trader consensus on typical spring conditions rather than an unusually cold air mass. Historical September averages near 10–11°C provide context, yet current warmer-than-normal patterns and low precipitation chances limit downside risk below 12°C. Official station readings from the South African Weather Service will resolve the market once finalized, with any late-model shifts in wind or cloud cover able to adjust the exact low.
