Robert Strombachs holds a substantial ranking advantage at approximately ATP 453 compared to Jannik Opitz’s 1108, positioning the Latvian as the stronger favorite on the clay courts of the M25 Nivelles. Strombachs has shown solid recent form with multiple wins across clay and hard surfaces in 2026, including a victory in Brussels and consistent results in lower-tier events. Opitz, by contrast, has struggled with a low win rate this season and limited match activity since April losses on both surfaces. The July 2 second-round clash marks their first meeting, with Strombachs also benefiting from greater physical stature and recent tournament experience at this level. Clay-court specialists and current momentum could further influence outcomes in this ITF event.
