Burns enters on a four-fight skid, highlighted by a first-round TKO loss to Michael Morales in May 2025 that caused delayed concussion symptoms and brief retirement thoughts, raising durability concerns at age 39. Malott rides momentum from recent submission and TKO wins, including a hard-fought victory over Kevin Holland despite post-fight injury, showcasing his reach advantage (73 inches) and finishing prowess.
