Recent National Weather Service and private model guidance points to a mostly cloudy September 6 in Los Angeles with a 50 percent chance of showers and isolated thunderstorms, driven by an onshore marine layer and weak upper-level trough. These conditions favor afternoon highs near the seasonal 76.5 °F average or slightly above, aligning with the market’s leading 78–79 °F bin. Recent observations show highs of 76–78 °F through early September, with no strong offshore flow or heat-dome setup to push readings into the low 80s. Model consensus remains tight around 78–82 °F, though any earlier clearing or stronger sea breeze could shift outcomes toward the 76–77 °F range. Updated NWS briefings and real-time observations on the morning of the 6th will provide the final resolution data.
