Recent forecast models from Environment Canada and GFS runs indicate a northwest flow of cooler, drier air will limit Toronto’s high on September 14 to near 19–20 °C under mostly clear skies, aligning with the market’s leading 20 °C outcome at 37 % implied probability. This represents a notable departure from the 1991–2020 climatological average high of 22.4 °C, driven by post-frontal subsidence and brisk winds that suppress daytime warming. Ensemble guidance shows limited spread, with only modest upside risk if clouds or a temporary southerly shift develop, supporting the secondary 24 °C-or-higher bin at 21 %. Updated model runs and official briefings over the next 48 hours will refine these temperature thresholds ahead of market resolution.
