Current National Weather Service and ensemble model guidance indicate overnight lows for Chicago on August 26 will likely settle in the mid-to-upper 60s°F, driven by a warm, moist boundary layer under partly cloudy skies with southwest winds of 10-15 mph that limit radiative cooling after daytime highs near 82°F. This aligns with late-August climatology (average low ~65°F) and recent model runs showing minimal overnight drops amid lingering southerly flow ahead of a weak front. Market-implied odds cluster tightly around 66-69°F ranges because traders weigh these stable conditions against potential forecast revisions from new 00Z or 12Z runs, while historical variability and lake-effect moderation near Lake Michigan introduce modest uncertainty for the exact minimum.
