New Zealand First leads trader expectations for third place in the November 2026 election amid recent polling gains that have lifted the party to double-digit support levels not seen in nearly a decade. Its upward trajectory reflects campaign momentum, including a high-profile launch and policy focus on energy and economic issues, positioning it ahead of other minor parties in seat projections under MMP rules. The Green Party trails in the market but remains competitive through consistent backing in left-leaning polls, while ACT has slipped in recent surveys and Opportunity gains threaten to fragment smaller-party votes. National and Labour continue to anchor first- and second-place expectations in most aggregates, leaving the third slot sensitive to late shifts in minor-party thresholds and coalition dynamics.
