Recent National Weather Service forecasts and ensemble models indicate a typical late-summer marine-influenced pattern for San Francisco on September 14, with highs centered in the low to mid-70s amid light onshore flow and partial morning cloud cover. This supports the market’s tight clustering around 74-77°F outcomes, as persistent westerly winds and the coastal stratus layer limit afternoon warming below inland values. Historical climatology places the September 14 average high near 71°F, providing context for why traders assign low probability to extremes above 80°F or below 70°F. Updated NWS model runs and afternoon observations on September 13 will refine these projections ahead of resolution.
