The 2026 Toronto mayoral election is currently scheduled to be held on October 26, 2026. This market will resolve according to the candidate who becomes the next mayor of Toronto as a result of this election. Temporary, interim, or placeholder mayors appointed before the election will not be considered. If the result of this election isn't known by June 30, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, the market will resolve to "Other". The primary resolution source for this market will be a consensus of credible reporting; however, if there is any ambiguity in the results, this market will resolve according to official information from Toronto.Incumbent Olivia Chow holds a commanding lead in the October 26 Toronto mayoral election, with recent Liaison Strategies polling showing her at 50% support among decided and leaning voters compared to 39% for main challenger Brad Bradford and 10% for Chris Alexander. Her position reflects the advantages of incumbency after winning the 2023 by-election, stable approval ratings near 50%, and a campaign launch emphasizing housing construction, TTC affordability, and public services. Earlier summer polls indicated a tighter race, but Bradford's momentum has stalled while voter concerns over property taxes and city direction have not shifted the ballot decisively. Minor candidates, including former mayor John Tory, register negligible support in current surveys. Upcoming debates and final polling before election day remain the primary scheduled events that could influence remaining undecided voters.
