Recent National Weather Service and ensemble model guidance indicate a typical late-September marine layer influence over Los Angeles, with morning low clouds and fog giving way to partly sunny conditions and light onshore southwest flow. This pattern supports a highest temperature most likely in the upper 70s, aligning with the market’s leading 78-79°F (42%) and 76-77°F (29.5%) outcomes. Current runs show afternoon highs near 79–82°F at official stations, consistent with the seasonal average of 75.6°F but slightly elevated by recent warmer-than-normal September conditions. No significant model shifts or offshore wind development have emerged in the past 48 hours to push probabilities toward the 80°F+ bins. Updated forecasts and morning observations on September 24 will determine final resolution.
