Recent monsoon conditions over northern India, including high humidity and frequent thunderstorm activity, are the main driver keeping trader consensus centered on a Lucknow high of 31–33 °C for September 16. Official IMD guidance and multiple forecast models indicate partly cloudy skies with scattered rain or thundershowers, which limit surface heating and cap daytime maxima near 30–32 °C despite typical September climatology around 33 °C. Light steering winds and elevated dew points further reduce the likelihood of brief clear spells that could push readings to 34 °C or above. Model spread remains modest but sensitive to the exact timing and coverage of afternoon convection, with new IMD updates and satellite observations expected to refine the outlook ahead of market resolution.
