National Weather Service forecasts and model consensus indicate a high near 66°F for San Francisco on September 20, 2026, under mostly cloudy skies with west-southwest winds of 6–13 mph and marine-layer influence suppressing daytime warming. This positions the 66–67°F bin as the modal outcome, followed closely by 64–65°F, as recent observations from September 19 showed a peak of 68°F before the cooldown. The setup reflects typical late-summer coastal conditions, well below the 1991–2020 average high of 70.7°F, with limited inland heat advection and no significant warming trend expected before resolution. Updated NWS briefings and hourly observations will refine the exact maximum.
