Recent National Weather Service and model guidance point to a Monday high in San Francisco of 64–67°F, with the market’s tight clustering around 66–67°F reflecting consensus on persistent onshore flow and marine-layer stratus limiting afternoon warming. Light to moderate west-southwest winds and 50–70% cloud cover through peak heating hours are the dominant controls, while subtle differences in timing of any partial clearing or slight wind shift could separate a 64–65°F outcome from 68–69°F. This setup follows an early-September heat spike and aligns with climatological September averages near 70°F but tempered by stronger-than-normal marine influence. Updated NWS short-range guidance and final KSFO observations tomorrow will resolve the narrow probability bands.
