**Traders see little chance of a manslaughter conviction for Lindsay Clancy because the closely watched Plymouth County trial has centered on whether she bears any criminal responsibility for the 2023 deaths of her three children.** The defense has pursued a lack-of-criminal-responsibility case rooted in postpartum psychosis and overmedication, while prosecutors have argued deliberate planning and intent to support first-degree murder charges. Recent jury notes signaling deadlock after multiple days of deliberations, with reports of an 11-1 split and defense efforts to question a holdout, underscore the binary nature of the contest. Historical patterns in similar high-profile filicide cases and the absence of a clear path to the lesser “wanton or reckless” standard further support market consensus that jurors are unlikely to land on manslaughter rather than murder or an insanity acquittal. Upcoming instructions or a potential mistrial remain the main near-term catalysts.

Це не торгова порада і не впливає на вирішення цього ринку. · ОновленоThis market will resolve to "Yes" if Lindsay Clancy is convicted of at least one count of manslaughter in the ongoing Commonwealth v. Lindsay Clancy case by either December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET or, in the event of a mistrial, by the end of any retrial that begins before that date. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No".
A conviction for manslaughter will qualify whether it results from a manslaughter charge or from a finding of manslaughter as a lesser included offense of a murder charge. A conviction for murder, without any accompanying conviction for manslaughter, will not qualify.
If this case ends due to a dismissal, or results in any situation in which no judgment is rendered by the court, or results in a verdict of Not Guilty on all charges (including by reason of lack of criminal responsibility due to mental illness), this market will resolve to "No". A plea agreement will qualify to resolve this market "Yes" only if it results in a judgment of conviction for manslaughter.
If all charges against Clancy are dropped, this market will immediately resolve to "No".
This market will resolve according to the initial judgment rendered in this case. Any appeals will have no bearing on the resolution of this market.
The primary resolution source will be an official judgment delivered by the ruling court; however, other credible reporting may be used.
