This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the lowest temperature recorded by NOAA at the Buckley Space Force Base Station in degrees Fahrenheit on 7 Sep '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the lowest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=kbkf This market will resolve off of the Hourly Data provided using the "Show Hourly Data" button. If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source. In the event that there is no data for the observation date by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to US Units w/ kts" button until the relevant table displays °F. This market will resolve once the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source, or by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, whichever comes first. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Fahrenheit (eg, 21°F). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.**Forecast models from the National Weather Service and local outlets like Denver7 currently project an overnight low near 61°F for Denver on September 7, 2026, with scattered thunderstorms, a high around 89°F, and moderate cloud cover.** This aligns with recent observations showing above-average warmth early in the month (highs in the low 90s, lows in the upper 50s to low 60s) amid a warmer-than-normal pattern. Key scientific drivers include radiational cooling under partly to mostly cloudy skies versus clearer conditions that would enhance nighttime temperature drops; thunderstorm timing and coverage, which can mix the boundary layer or introduce cooler air aloft; and steering patterns that maintain a southerly flow with limited cold-air advection. Historical September 7 lows average 52.8°F, but 2026 conditions reflect persistent warmth, reducing the likelihood of sub-60°F readings unless models trend cooler with increased precipitation or clearer post-storm skies. Trader consensus reflects this uncertainty: the 59°F-or-below outcome leads at 34.5% implied probability due to potential model shifts or heavier rain cooling, while the 78°F-or-higher bin at 29.5% captures tail-risk warmth scenarios. Mid-range bins (e.g., 60–67°F) cluster near 24–25%, consistent with the narrow forecast spread around 60–63°F. Updated NWS model runs and local observations over the next 48 hours will be the primary catalysts for any probability shifts.
