Recent polling places President Trump's job approval near historic lows for a second-term president, around 36-39 percent, amid a prolonged stalemate in the Iran conflict and elevated gas prices. These pressures create week-to-week volatility as traders weigh any short-term diplomatic signals, economic data releases, or administration messaging against entrenched public dissatisfaction. Midterm election dynamics three months out add further sensitivity, with approval shifts potentially influenced by congressional positioning or voter sentiment in key states. The near-even odds reflect uncertainty over whether incremental positive developments can produce measurable weekly gains or if ongoing external factors will sustain downward pressure.

If no data point is published for the first reference date, the most recent prior day with a published data point will be used instead.
If no data point is published for the second reference date by 12:00 PM ET on the third calendar day after that date, the most recent prior day with a published data point will be used instead.

Changes in the methodology by which Silver Bulletin calculates the approval rating will have no bearing on the resolution of this market.
