Recent National Weather Service and local forecast models indicate a stalled high-pressure system east of Southeast Texas will sustain mostly sunny skies, light southeast winds, and minimal cloud cover over Houston on September 15, supporting afternoon highs near 94°F with only a 20-30% chance of isolated showers that are unlikely to suppress peak temperatures. This pattern aligns with mid-September climatology but features elevated humidity and heat indices above 100°F, consistent with the dry conditions prevailing since earlier in the summer. Model consensus from NOAA and regional outlooks centers the daily maximum in the 93-95°F range, driving trader emphasis on the 94-95°F bin while assigning lower implied probability to cooler or hotter outliers pending any late forecast revisions.
