Recent model consensus from sources including the Met Office, WeatherBug, and Yr.no points to a daily maximum of 22–24°C in Mexico City on September 2, aligning with the market’s heaviest weighting on those outcomes. Persistent cloud cover and convective showers tied to the peak of the North American monsoon season are suppressing surface heating at the city’s 2,240 m elevation, while light southerly flow limits warm advection. Historical climatology shows early-September highs averaging near 22°C under similar conditions; any brief clearing could push readings toward 25°C, but widespread precipitation through the afternoon favors the lower end of the distribution. Updated short-range guidance later today will refine the precise peak timing ahead of resolution.
