Current forecasts from multiple models point to overnight lows in the mid-70s for Atlanta on September 2, driven by persistent high pressure, clear to partly cloudy skies, light variable winds, and elevated dew points that limit radiational cooling. This setup follows several days of above-normal highs in the mid-90s with minimal precipitation, keeping the boundary layer warmer than the long-term average low of 69°F. Model consensus remains tight but allows for 1–3°F variations from timing of any clouds, wind shifts, or urban heat effects, spreading trader-implied odds evenly across bins around the expected minimum. Updated National Weather Service guidance and next model runs will clarify any shifts before resolution.
