Raphaël Glucksmann leads trader pricing for the first-round win in the October 9-10 primary to select the social-democratic candidate for France’s 2027 presidential election, reflecting his established polling advantage and recent endorsements such as Anne Hidalgo’s support. The contest tightened after Olivier Faure’s late-August entry and parallel candidacies from Jérôme Guedj, Philippe Brun, Ségolène Royal, and Emmanuel Maurel, with ongoing disputes over whether to broaden participation to figures like François Ruffin testing party discipline and voter turnout rules. Electronic voting open to party members and paying participants, plus the two-round format, keeps outcomes sensitive to mobilization in the final weeks before candidate declarations close on September 15.
