Official forecasts from the National Weather Service and models such as those referenced by WeatherBug indicate a high near 92–93°F for Houston on September 6, driven by partly sunny skies, light easterly winds, and afternoon thunderstorms that cap peak heating while maintaining high humidity and heat indices above 100°F. This aligns with the early September climatological average of 91°F and recent days showing similar upper-80s to low-90s readings without significant frontal passages. Market-implied odds concentrate on the 90–93°F bins because ensemble consensus favors this range, with lower probabilities assigned to extremes given typical steering patterns and moisture that limit both stronger heating and cooling. Updated model runs and local observations through the evening of September 5 will refine the final resolution.
