Trader consensus on April 9 TSA checkpoint passenger throughput reflects tight clustering around 2.2M-2.4M and higher bins like >2.8M, driven by recent volatility in daily screening volumes amid peak spring break travel. Yesterday's April 7 total of 2.207 million marked a post-weekend dip from April 6's 2.706 million and April 5's 2.562 million, highlighting weekday normalization after holiday surges tied to Easter weekend disruptions, including thousands of flight delays. Elevated air travel demand persists with airlines forecasting record spring volumes up 4-8% year-over-year, but economic pressures and weather could suppress numbers. A surge in bookings or clear skies might boost toward 2.6M+, while cancellations or storms could anchor below 2.4M, keeping the race competitive absent late data.
